Scot traveled a lot as a child with a Father in the Air Force. He lived overseas numerous times, including three years in a town outside of Oxford, England.
At 19 years old, after a year of college when living in Washington D.C., he sold my car, gave away belongings and chose to backpack in Asia. This started a quest to experience cultures and learn more about Earth's diverse spiritual traditions.
Locations listed below have religious, cultural, and/or historical value. Throughout these travels Scot remained outside of any organized groups or tours and traveled alone in order to meet and live like the locals. Religion and culture, both ancient and modern were his focus. He states, "These experiences were very fulfilling, yet required a great amount of work and many hardships." Twice he caught dysentery in India, or the went through a 13 day coma from the accident along the Red Sea in Egypt.
Scot more recent travel experiences are not included here. Currently he lives in Europe with his wife and 2 children. In the last six years, he has explored the major cities in Europe, including many months in Eastern Europe: Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, etc. In 2004 he went back to Bangkok, to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Nepal, and traveled on "Friendship Highway" through the Himalayas to Lhasa.
